Bridget Kohls, LPC
My specialty interests include anxiety, OCD, mood disorders, ADHD, depression, and trauma. Many mental health disorders are rooted in trauma, and I have a strong, trauma-informed approach that allows clients to have a safe place to process their experiences. I am passionate about working with individuals in the LGBTQIA+ community, various multicultural backgrounds, victims of domestic violence, couples counseling, and those who have experienced stressful life transitions or chronic stress. As your counselor, I will advocate for you both in the therapy session and outside of the sessions.
I earned my BA in Music Education from Ohio University and have completed my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Capella University. I hold my license as a Licensed Professional Counselor. I have completed DBT, CBT, ERP, and the Gottman Method training.
Seeking counseling is a monumental and brave step toward overcoming life’s obstacles. Everyone faces challenges, transitions, and life changes that can be difficult to process without proper support. My goal as a counselor is to create a safe place where you feel understood and heard. I approach counseling with a nonjudgmental and trauma-informed approach.
